Respect & Session Conduct Policy

Shoott exists to support independent photographers in doing what they love: capturing beautiful photos and celebrating you. To keep that experience working for everyone, we ask all clients to follow a few session expectations.

Photos during your session

Only your Shoott-assigned photographer may take photos. Our photographers work on commission tied to the images you select, so members of your party (including on phones) aren't permitted to take photos during the session.

Brief, behind-the-scenes video clips on a phone are fine, as long as they're minimal and don't disrupt the session.

A respectful environment for our photographers

Shoott photographers are independent professionals. They deserve a safe, comfortable working environment, and they're empowered to end a session or decline service at their own discretion.

We expect everyone in your party to treat your photographer with respect. Behavior we consider inconsistent with that standard includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, threats, or inappropriate comments

• Profanity or abusive language and/or behavior toward the photographer or anyone in your party including but not limited to partners, children or pets

• Pressuring the photographer to act against Shoott's policies or terms

• Any other conduct that, in our reasonable judgment, makes the session environment unworkable

How we review and respond

When a photographer raises a concern, our team reviews the report along with any supporting materials and the account's history. If we determine that continuing to provide sessions isn't consistent with the environment we maintain for our photographers and clients, we may suspend or end service to the account, and to any associated household accounts, under our Client Terms of Service (see §4.4 and §9).

These are discretionary business decisions about service availability. They are not findings about any individual's behavior, and we may not be able to share specifics of an internal review. Decisions are final.

Any unused credits at the time of an account closure will be refunded per our Terms. Thank you for helping us keep Shoott a safe, positive space for our photographers and the families they serve.
