Is it really free to book a Shoott Mini Session?
Yes! Booking a Shoott mini session is always free. You only pay for the photos you decide to purchase from your online gallery, and there’s no obligation to buy the entire gallery — you simply select the images you love. (Most customers fall in love with multiple shots!)
Note: If your purchase is under $100, we’ll require a pre-payment toward your next booking if you choose to book with us again. This helps us protect the time and effort of our hardworking photographers.
Why is there a booking charge on my card?
The “charge” you see is not an actual fee. It’s a temporary authorization hold — a standard industry practice to confirm funds in case of late cancellation or no-show. It disappears automatically (usually within a few minutes).
Where does my photo shoot take place?
Shoott offers over 600+ beautiful locations across 60+ U.S. cities and regions. You can browse and select your preferred city and neighborhood through our website, and once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you the exact meeting point for your session.

Can I choose or request a specific photographer?
Yes! When booking, you’ll be able to view the Top Photographers of each city, along with their portfolio and availability. You can select a time slot with the photographer whose style matches your vision. (Please note that availability may vary weekly.)
If you’d like to rebook the same photographer from a previous session, you can request a custom session (custom sessions require an upfront fee).
How many photos will I get, and how do I view them?
You’ll receive 40+ lightly edited, high-resolution photos in an online gallery, delivered to your email within 3–5 business days after your session. You’ll have 7 days to view and purchase your favorites, and we include a free 7-day extension if you need extra time. If you’d like to extend beyond that, additional extensions are available for $7/week.
Please note: After 60 days, expired galleries can’t be guaranteed for retrieval unless extensions were purchased.
Do I own the photos, and will they be private?
You’ll have full personal rights to all photos you purchase — you can print, share, and enjoy them however you like (only for non-commercial use). Unpurchased previews remain watermarked and cannot be shared publicly — this protects our photographers’ artistry.
In terms of privacy, you can choose to keep your images private directly in your gallery or at checkout. If you agree to sharing, Shoott or your photographer may feature your images on our website, marketing materials, or social media portfolios.
Do I have to buy all the photos, or can I choose just a few?
You’re in control! You can purchase a single favorite image or the entire gallery — whatever works for you. There’s no obligation to purchase the whole gallery. (Most families and couples end up choosing multiple shots because they love the variety!)
How much do Shoott photos cost?
Our pricing is simple and straightforward:
Pay only for the photos you want, starting at $25 per photo
Individual images and discounted gallery packages are available.
Exact pricing details will be visible inside your online gallery after the shoot, so you can decide based only on what you love — no pressure, no upfront cost.
