Director of Operations

Shoott is looking for a motivated Director of Operations to join our team and help us continue to scale our business. Must be a self-starter with prior experience working for early-stage startups and/or tech companies. This role is remote but may require evening and weekend hours.

Shoott is an AAPI female-run startup that provides affordable and accessible professional photography to everyone. Our innovative approach has made us one of the fastest-growing companies in our field.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the operations team, overseeing day-to-day activities and driving process improvements

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration

• Create and manage project plans and timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization

• Use data and metrics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement

• Build strong relationships with team members, vendors, and other external partners

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on operational performance, risks, and opportunities

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced startup environment

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, bonus if you know SQL or javascript

• Proven track record of project management and process improvement

• Ability to work strategically while also being hands-on and executing at a high level

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities

• Intellectually curious, we strongly prefer those who are avid and facile users of Google/ChatGPT/Tiktok

Salary: $75K-$95K with benefits + stock options after 6 months, commensurate with experience
